Is this something akin to Mass Effect or more open ended like No Man’s Sky? Outside of the sparse announcement trailer, little to nothing has been. But Starfield is a new IP and we have no idea where Bethesda is going with it. The Elder Scrolls 6 was first announced all the way back in 2018, during Bethesda’s E3 press conference that year. I mean, we can at least somewhat guess what Elder Scrolls 6 is going to be like based on the lifespan of that franchise. And by “soon” I guess that has to mean 2021. The Elder Scrolls 6 is a release that will have to deeply impress fans, with the title set to serve as the end of a decade-plus long wait for another mainline installment to the franchise. The Elder Scrolls 6 is here at last, and a full six months before Starfield to boot. The Elder Scrolls 6 News Could Potentially Come Next Year By Jessica Barnes Published Fans have waited for news of the highly anticipated Elder Scrolls 6, and 2023. So far, the gaming studio has not yet revealed the specific release date. News came to light in January 2022 that Elder Scrolls 6 may still be in pre-production according to a Bethesda HR Linked-in profile, with Howard later confirming it in June 2022. If it isn’t time to start talking about Elder Scrolls 6, then I do hope we hear something about Starfield soon. A lot of things have happened since Bethesda announced 'The Elder Scrolls 6' at the E3 almost three years ago. If we aren’t even getting news about Elder Scrolls 6 for a couple more years, that puts a release date at what, 2023, 2024? That would be 12-13 years after the 2011 release of Skyrim, which, understanding that game development takes time and Bethesda has other projects, still does seem a bit excessive. ![]()
